Intimate Wedding at Tahoe Blue Estate

When it came to their wedding, Alexandra and Christian were most looking forward to seeing together their friends and family from all the different seasons of their lives. They had the most fun putting together their wedding weekend. They wanted to plan ways for their community to connect with each other and feel the love. Alexandra and Christian decided to hold their wedding at Tahoe Blue Estate, and it was a beautiful day.

Tahoe Blue Estate Wedding

Tahoe Blue Estate is a beautiful venue with everything you could wish for. It even has those expansive mountain and water views. Alexandra and Christian described their wedding as a perfect compromise between Christian’s desire to include their whole community (including virtual guests) and Alexandra’s want for intimacy reflected in the small group of guests. Tahoe Blue Estate really allowed them to create that combination of community and intimacy.

Personalized Wedding Day Details

This couple really wanted small details from their love story to tie into their wedding. Their signature cocktails were named after their OkCupid profile names from when they first met online in 2013. They love minerals and puzzles, so their wedding had those elements scattered throughout the weekend. The cutest thing was that they displayed the love poem that Christian wrote for his proposal scavenger hunt.

Almost all of the décor they created themselves. From the florals to the signs to the collection of mineral rocks on the table, this couple really designed their own event. Alex even designed, carved, and printed the wedding invitations.

Perhaps the most important details were in memory of Alex’s grandfather and her father. Alex incorporated a large turkey feather from her grandfather’s house into her bouquet, and they cut the cake using her father’s sword. It made for a great moment too.
