Shelby and Greg met in 2014, but they didn’t start dating until almost four years later due to other relationships. But they realized their love for one another and knew they were meant to be. Shelby and Greg really enjoyed every part of planning their summer wedding, and it was clear that so much care was put into the details and creating an enjoyable day for their guests. Their theme was “Rave in the Woods,” and it was so much fun!
Choosing Chalet View Lodge
Shelby and Greg chose Chalet View Lodge because as Shelby says, the Lodge is “the epitome of us as a couple.” They loved that it was outdoorsy and relaxing. They enjoyed the balance of nature and adventure with classy and clean. Plus, the Lodge has an amazing wine bar. This couple looked forward to spending time with their loved ones and enjoying the live music, and Chalet View Lodge was the perfect location.
A Fun and Colorful Wedding
This wedding was such a joy to photograph because everyone was having so much fun. The day started with the couple taking group shots with their friends before getting ready. Instead of getting ready in separate areas, they wanted to spend the whole day together and soak it all in. The first look between Shelby and her friends and then Shelby and Greg were so full of love and delight. Our favorite part was when Shelby and Greg walked down the aisle together with their dogs.
The colorful details were amazing with gorgeous florals by Rise Floral and vibrant stationery by Blushtype. Even the dogs were colorful with their bright floral collars. They also had a bright light display that was great for photographs and looked amazing after dark.
Shelby and Greg emphasized wanting candid shots over posed portraits, and we love it when couples want this. We want our couples to relax and enjoy their day and let us worry about capturing those amazing moments. We’d love to hear from you and learn all about your wedding day!
