Chelsea and Mike met at an SXSW music in Austin. Chelsea was there for work, and Mike was actually touring in a band that was playing at the festival. Chelsea says that neither of them had a specific moment that they knew the other was the one. She says it was a culmination of moments during which they ultimately realized that they both valued the same things in life, got along easily, and had visions of the future that aligned. We’re so glad we got to work with them on their romantic elopement on the shore of Lake Tahoe!
We took photos alongside an associate of ours who shot film for them. The film images came out so good, and they were unique shots for a unique couple. We’ve put some of them at the very bottom of this post for you.
Shore of Lake Tahoe Elopement
Chelsea looked beautiful. Her bridal bouquet was warm with lots of texture and unique fall colors. It had blush dahlias, with orange, burgundy, and blush flowers. She was also sporting a black leather jacket throughout the elopement that looked amazing with her ruffled dress.
We started at their parent’s house before we went out to a private shoreline spot around Lake Tahoe. After that, we went on the most amazing wooden boat, Wild Goose II. Due to the storm that was rolling in, we simply hung out in the marina and had the sweetest session with them. It’s always so great when we have the time to really dedicate to couple portraits. Everyone can relax, and we have the extra time to really get those amazing shots. We always love when we get a chance to shoot on the shore of Lake Tahoe as well.
This intimate elopement was so much fun to shoot, and we loved the chance to work with Chelsea and Mike. We’d love the opportunity to work with you too! Reach out to us because we’re currently booking for 2022.
