Caitlin and Tyler actually met while waiting in line at the DMV. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor at the time, and she had just moved to the island to work as a dolphin trainer. He struck up a conversation, and they ended up talking for forty-five minutes. They had their first date two nights later, and now they’ve been together for five years. We had the privilege of being able to photograph their Tannenbaum wedding.
Romantic Wedding at Tannenbaum
Caitlin and Tyler chose Tannenbaum Resort because it allowed them to have the wedding of their dreams during these times. Not to mention, there are those gorgeous mountain views! They got married with the mountains and amazing foliage behind them. Caitlin was so excited for them to see each other for the first time when she walked down the aisle. It was such a joyful moment. During the ceremony, they had a sand ceremony. They blended sand from their favorite childhood beaches and sand from the beach they visited on their first date.
Personal Touches
Their sand ceremony wasn’t the only personal touch throughout the wedding. They had so many wonderful details that really represented them as a couple. For example, their florals were a nod to Hawaii, their first home together. They also had a cute bar sign with their cats on it.
Caitlin also wore a very special necklace that she had made in South Africa where her matron of honor lives half of the year. The necklace honors Tyler’s brother, Brandon, who passed away. Sapphire was his birthstone, and the necklace has a large sapphire. It’s going to be their first family heirloom, and Caitlin looked beautiful wearing it.
We just loved working with Caitlin and Tyler on their Tannenbaum wedding. It was such a lovely day, and we’re glad we got to be a part of it. We’d love to hear your love story and help you capture your own amazing memories. Just say hello!
