Molly and Luke’s Lake Tahoe Winter Wonderland Wedding at the Zephyr Lodge at Northstar

Lake Tahoe is a magical place for Luke and Molly. It was the destination for their first getaway weekend and it was also the place where they got engaged. It is no wonder they chose the location for their wedding.

They choose to marry at the Zephyr Lodge at Northstar in North Lake Tahoe. This perfectly suited their strong sense of adventure. Even though the wedding took place in late September, we all got surprised but an out-of-the-blew snowstorm with lightning forcing us all to think quickly on our feet. The ceremony was moved inside and after the guest being held back from coming up the gondola, we now had a winter wonderland and snow to play in.

The wooded interior of the lodge provided a rustic feel. The floor to ceiling windows allowed the light to pour in and contemporary industrial chandeliers were the perfect complement to the decor.

The guests took their seats as the ceremony began. First down the aisle were the bridesmaids. Each of them wore all black gowns of their own choosing.

Next Molly appeared on the arm of her proud father. Her dress was silky sheath silhouette. The top half of the dress featured a lacy camisole top with lace details, a plunging v neck, and spaghetti straps. The skirt came down in a sleek line to her ankles.

Molly went with a natural makeup look. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a loose bun held together by a gauzy veil that came down to her feet.

Once she finished her journey down the aisle, she was met by her groom and his groomsmen. The men all wore gray suits with white button-up shirts and teal ties. The groom had a white flower in his lapel that matched the bride’s all-white bouquet provided by Art in Bloom Floral.

As Molly and Luke said their vows, they were joined by their dog. He laid at their feet as they said their ‘I do’s wearing a leafy garland around his neck.

Next came the exchange of rings. Molly’s engagement ring was a simple yet elegant oval-shaped diamond complemented by a beautiful band and Luke’s band was a bulky and masculine bronze color.

After the two were married, it was off to the reception. Guests enjoyed a full meal care of Northstar Catering. The star of the reception was the towering, multi-layered wedding cake provided by Is Butter(cream) a Carb?

During the celebration, there were plenty of speeches, laughs, and even some tears. The guests boogied to the tunes of Moonlight Mobile DJ and the dancing lasted well into the night.

The wedding really captured Molly and Luke’s adventurous spirit. It made the perfect beginning for what is sure to be a long and happy journey for them both.
