Nikki and Efrain’s Snowy Lake Tahoe Winter Wedding

Nikki and Efrain chose to have a Lake Tahoe winter wedding. Rather than letting the weather become an obstacle, they embraced it by making their special day magical.

The color of the day was light pink and Nikki wore a David’s Bridal ballroom silhouette gown in a very light pink that delicately fell around her legs in a creamy, layered crinoline. The top of the gown was tight fitting with a v-neck and spaghetti straps. The beaded detail providing the perfect vintage inspired effect. Her hair and makeup were done by RAH Hair Studio and here Nikki utilized a wintery palette that worked well with the season and her warm complexion. The rose gold and bronze tones were the perfect complement to her brown hair, highlighted with streaks of gold for the occasion.

To bundle up, Nikki put a light pink tapered trench coat over her dress. She complemented the look with utterly feminine pink leather gloves with a fur cuff and closed toe ballet style shoes.

Efrain completed the fairy tale couple with a stylish charcoal gray suit. Under it he wore a white shirt and a light pink tie. The color was picked up by a flower lapel pin featuring pink and white flowers. These were the same flowers the bride carried in her overflowing bouquet care of Helianthus Floral Design.

Nikki and Efrain picked an unconventional venue for their wedding. Whereas most walk the aisle inside churches or backyards, here, the snow-covered woods served as the backdrop for the happy couple. The trees made for really attractive and natural canopy that could not have been topped by anything manmade. The couple wed in front of a preacher right there in the Lake Tahoe open air surrounded by an intimate gathering of their closest friends and family. The guests were appropriately dressed in overcoats and galoshes that they wore over their formal attire.

The exchange of rings came next. The couple chose a gold color theme c/o Buckley and Co. Jewelry. The ring featured a large yellow gold diamond layered with a stackable wedding band. The man’s ring was a regal triple stack design. The bride continued the theme with a yellow diamond necklace and earrings.

After the couple said their ‘I do’s, there was a bit of tussling in the snow with the guests and more pictures were taken. They were then whisked away in very stretchy, and I’m sure well heated limousine. From there the wedding party would enjoy a reception hosted by Chart House Catering.

Nikki and Efrain’s wedding was simply magical and we hope their lives together is just as beautiful as their special day was.
