Known as one of Lake Tahoe’s only private lakefront venues, the setting at the West Shore Cafe and Inn couldn’t be more perfect. So, when Scott and Leslie told us that’s exactly where we would be photographing their wedding, we were thrilled. The day unfolded unfolded beautifully with typical Tahoe weather, which meant every moment was primed for great shots.
While West Shore Cafe definitely knows how to throw a party, Scott and Leslie did a wonderful job adding their own personal touches. Because the couple really loves music, they found one of the best bands in the area, which meant that the party kept going well into the night. (And the music was seriously good – one of our favorite bands so far this year!)
Scott and Leslie chose to have a more or less traditional day, which meant that the order of events felt really natural (a plus for us photographers who are always wanting to know what’s going to happen next).
For the ceremony, Leslie wore a truly stunning gown (words can’t do it justice so definitely check out the pictures) and carried lovely white lilies. Because the train on her gown was so formal (in other words, difficult to dance in), she opted to change into a more relaxed beach dress for the reception.
One of Rob’s favorite parts of the day? The food! The very un-traditional dessert spread, which was composed of cookies and bars, seriously had the best brownies he’s ever had!
