They say rain on your wedding day is good luck because it makes a knot harder to untie. If that’s the case, then Nick and Chelsea are in for one wonderful marriage! Although it started pouring as soon as we arrived at Lehman Barn in Latrobe, California, the only thing dampened was the ground. Super sweet and wonderful to work with (we shot the couple’s engagement photos on our coldest shoot yet!), Nick and Chelsea’s wedding was absolutely beautiful.
The ceremony and reception were held at the super cute Lehman Barn, which provided us with plenty of rustic and charming details for our shoots, including a gorgeous wooden fence we used as a backdrop for photos with the groom and his groomsmen – complete with white umbrellas to protect them from the onslaught of rain.
Getting to hang out with the bride and groom before the wedding to take pre-ceremony shots allowed us to capture a lot of their personality – seeing them interact with their best friends and family really is a special opportunity!
The bridesmaids, who all wore gorgeous non-matching cream-colored gowns, set the tone for the whole day – fun, friendly, and ready to celebrate.
If, however, there was one element that really stole the show, it was Chelsea’s stunning gown, which featured one of the most beautiful trains we have ever seen.
Chelsea and Nick left right after the reception for their honeymoon, leaving us wondering when we’ll have the opportunity to shoot at this stunning wedding venue again!
